Reader's Guide
1. The Poetry
The poetry in this book follows the Bible's metanarrative from Genesis to Revelation. The metanarrative is the continuous story of salvation that flows beneath many stories throughout the Bible. 2. The Commentary The Bible does not claim to be a book written with human wisdom, it claims to be the very Word of God. The Bible is God's testimony about Himself and His creation. It challenges the way we think, and has authority over all aspects of our lives. The commentary in this book is designed to educate parents and help them answer questions created by the poetry above. The commentary gives a biblical explanation for the inspiration of the poetry by quoting Scripture and cross-referencing related verses. 3. The Title Each page has been given a biblical title which summarizes the events that took place in the metanarrative during that point and time in history. 4. Chapter and Verse There is no substitute for the Bible. The chapter and verses inspiring the poetry and commentary are given for you to explore and learn first-hand what God has said about His Son, His Mission and the salvation of humankind. |
